Eric and Moni Stephenson's have always focused their photographs on people, emotion and how to create expressive images. Eric began shooting professionally 19 years ago in New York City and was later a photographer for the Denver Art Museum where he directed the Department of Photographic Services. His images have won a variety of awards and been published in numerous books and magazines worldwide. His wife, Moni joined him in the business soon after they were married. Together their cameras have captured many notable personalities such as style maven Martha Stewart, US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, architect Daniel Libeskind, Nobel Prize winning author Elie Wiesel, President Barack Obama, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, Governor Bill Ritter, Senators Mark Udall and Michael Bennet, Governor John Hickenlooper, and actress Debra Winger among others.
In recent years their primary focus has been on capturing the beauty, joy and magic in one of life's most sacred events... weddings. Their natural style of wedding photojournalism paired with fashion influenced images artistically capture the subtle nuances inherent in each couple's wedding day. They showcase these photographs in lavish custom-designed albums, DVD slideshows and custom enlargements that capture the love, humor, and beauty in this extraordinary day in their clients' lives.
Eric is a longtime member of the American Society of Media Photographers, and Eric Stephenson Photography is a two time winner of the prestigious ICON People's Choice Award for Best Photography - winning in both 2010 and 2011. Some of their recent photographs have appeared in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, Colorado Expresssions and Confetti (& one of their images was the cover photograph for the 2010 edition of Connfetti). Their boutique portrait and wedding studio is located in Stapleton and open by appointment.
